Job description
About Early Alpine Academy
Early Alpine Academy is a play-based, relationship-driven early learning program located in the heart of downtown Bozeman. We serve children from infancy through preschool with consistent daily rhythms, a team that truly shows up, and a deep commitment to connection—between teachers and children, between families and caregivers, and within our teaching team itself.
Our classrooms and outdoor space are full of joyful play, hands-on exploration, and rich opportunities for social-emotional growth. Whether we’re stacking blocks, navigating big feelings, or getting messy in the sensory bin, we believe learning happens best when children feel safe, seen, and excited to be here. We work closely with Bozeman’s working families to create a warm, dependable partnership—and a daily experience that feels as good as it is developmentally sound.
About the Role
As the Assistant Teacher in our Early Explorers (infant classroom, 0–12 months), you’ll provide warm, responsive care to our youngest learners during a time of rapid growth and attachment. Infants thrive on predictability, gentle interactions, and secure relationships, and your role is to meet these needs with consistency and love. You’ll partner closely with your Lead Teacher to create a calm, nurturing environment where babies feel deeply known and supported.
This role is ideal for someone who values attunement, takes initiative, and understands how early experiences shape a child’s sense of self and safety.

Being a warm, grounding presence—helping infants feel safe, soothed, and connected.
Supporting individualized routines—feeding, diapering, and naps with calm, consistent care.
Logging daily care in Brightwheel—accurately tracking feeds, diapers, naps, and routines throughout the day.

Supporting early development—offering tummy time, floor play, and gentle sensory exploration.
Ensuring safety and hygiene—maintaining active supervision and upholding all health and licensing standards.
Communicating with families—sharing warm, reliable daily updates and partnering in their baby’s care.
Collaborating with your Lead Teacher—staying aligned on routines and stepping into responsibilities when needed.
